There are so many memories we create in the early years of parenting that not only help with our child’s development but are also fun and create wonderful memories.  Reading together give a boost to you child’s early reading success and the laughter from silly, comical early childhood literature is simply the best sound every.  Listed are five books on the subject of Mother’s Day. Little Critter: Happy Mother’s Day! – this series is also available at many local libraries, we have read them several times at home and especially love  this one and the one called Earth Day.



The Berenstain Bears and the Mama’s Day Surprise – The Berenstain Bears are a family friendly stories in which there is always a pretty nice life-learning experience at the end. As a wife, I enjoy the kind scolding or reminding she give Papa Bear.


Are You My Mother? A Dr. Seus Beginner book classic about a little bird looking for his mom.  A must for reading at least one in your child’s early years, if not one-hundred times because that is the kind of book it is, just like The Cat in the Hat, it is classically fun.


Fancy Nancy’s Marvelous Mother’s Day Brunch – What mother does not love a Mother’s Day Brunch?  Fancy Nancy is sort of new kid on the block in literature, but the girls in school go to her section first before heading off to the puppies and kittens in the non-fiction section of the School Library.

 

Wherever You Are: My Love Will Find You and because we all need to shed a few tears on Mother’s Day.  This book sends a message to your children about love, and it is just perfect.  I can hardly read the title without boohooing a few minutes.
