Momma’s Weekly Plan

weekly plan for moms

This year we are going try something new here at Mommacan.com.  Each Monday bright and early I will be posting my personal weekly plan, I will exclude my boring job stuff and choir director details, because they only apply to very few people’s lives and that would be silly.  But in a nut shell, I am sharing my weekly plan as a mom, organizer, wife, chief home operator, accountant, decorator, part-time maid and part-time chef.  Here is the catch!  I would love to hear about your plans for the week either in a comment with a link to your blog, on the Mommacan.com facebook page or even ( gasp) Google Plus if that floats your boat.  I truly believe that sharing our goals will help reach our goals, even if the sharing is just a tiny fragment of what we do each day!

Organize

Of all the nooks and corners in my house my closet is the messiest. I think my closet reflects my life. When my family and work life gets busy the first thing that seems to go is my time for personal care.  My closet reflects my lack of time for personal care.  The busier I get the messier the areas that are my territory seem to get. My goal for the week is to rework my closet and carve out time for some self -care.

I believe that sometimes women can stretch themselves so thin, time-wise, that they honestly do not have time to pick up and put away their own belongings.  This causes stress, preventable stress. So for the week I am going to allow myself more time for each task when it comes to ” my” care.  Hopefully, this will create a better habit of me putting away my stuff and setting a better example for my family.

Cook

This week we are eating out of the freezer and pantry as much as possible and I am going to make a big pot of chunky free range hamburger stew to eat for myself to stay on my Whole 30 plan. I am also working on new recipes to share on this site.  Here is a sneak peek.

Clutter

I am pledging a bag of clutter out  for five days this week.  Five big bags of clutter equals a small closet, so essentially I will be gaining a small closet this week in my home.

Dream

I am playing around with a new App called Ember to save different images for a bathroom remodel.  This means I can dream of the fanciest bathroom in th world while saving images and information from the world-wide web with just one click.  It is kind of like my own personal Pinterest Database… I am really loving it.

May you live all the days of your life.

  1. Five big bags of clutter. WOW! You go.

    My week plan is…

    Laundry,
    Play Wii and PS3
Cook something every night, one night being pizza and another night pork chops, rice, gravy and blackeye peas.
And maybe have lunch with my daughter. Depends on her schedule.

I am sorry I am not as busy as you. It’s just Hubby and I. However, you do give me inspiration and wished I had your blog when I was raising daughter 🙂

  2. My plan this week is – do exercise with the wii at least twice this week, read a book that is due for review and start practicing the piano.

  3. Clutter is the area that usually gets me. I might start out with great plans, but am soon overwhelmed by all the “stuff”!

  4. Wow! I’ve never thought of planning my weeks like this before. Love it. My home got flooded and we just had the remediation people come in and rip out the living room wall and ceiling. My weekly goal these days is to make the house more liveable
