Busiest Moms in the World Clutter Challenge – The Car

When I was a young girl every Saturday my daddy cleaned my momma’s car inside and out. He would take the family sedan to the local carwash and sometimes if he was in a good mood he would let my brother and I tag along. Now, mind you, this was long before you could go through one of those fancy drive thru car washes with the rainbow foam soap and the automatic waxer and dryer. You actually had to park your car and take action and you had to make sure you had enough quarters to soap down the car and rinse. I loved helping daddy hose down the car with super power hose and then using his sham to dry it off so that it wouldn’t look spotty when it dried.

Then we would drive around over to big vacuums which looked to me like some kind of serpent from my favorite show star trek, you know the one where Captain Kirk was young, thin and pretty easy on the eyes.

Daddy would vacuum the interior  a while and when he was mostly finished he would give my brother and I a go Holding the hose carefully so it would not suck up important stuff like small hands and momma’s good church umbrella we had such a good time helping our daddy clean momma’s car.

And friends, this what I thought the minute I decided we would clutter bust our cars today.

With the holidays coming we will feel much better if there is not a spot of clutter in the car. We will have more room for bags of groceries and gifts and the car will stop smelling like a Drive-thru scented Yankee Candle.

Let’s get started: grab a trash bag and a box. swiftly go through you vehicle and throw away trash and. Put stray items in the box. Be prepared to find an assortment of toys and random candy wrappers.

When your are finished put the trash bag in the bin and take the box inside your home. Put your stray items away and then if your children are old enough have them put away their stray items.

Happy Sunday!
