May the Force Be With You – Be The Force For A Kid In Need

power of hope

When the world is mad there is one constant, my kids. I am blessed with two wonderful boys and they are kind, healthy and happy boys. One married and one in Jr. High. We are all stoked to attend the newest Star Wars film this December as a happy, healthy family.

But in the aftermath of Paris I feel a real need to help someone. I was on the treadmill and thought out of all the people I can think of near and dear to me there are many who work with St. Jude’s Children’s hospital. They wake up each morning and think, I am going to do something to help these kids, to do the best I can so that each one has the best life possible. I can’t even imagine.

So, just putting this out there, what if during this massive hype about Star Wars we each do something for St. Jude’s Kids or the equal in your area of the country. Send a card, send a donation, send a warm knitted quilt or even just set aside time each day to pray for children with serious diseases like cancer. Each time you hear ” May the Force Be With You” in the next month do something for kids who really need it.

I found this great site that sends cards to children in hospitals.  Please check it out and consider sending a bag of homemade cards to this wonderful organization.
