Meal Plan For the Week, Cleaning List and Organizing for The School Year

Organize Your Week

Welcome to a new week!  The truth is, no matter what kind of wishing we do for the weekend to last longer, Monday comes at the same time pretty persistently.  The sound of the alarm cranking in your ear at the newly cracked open time of day we call dawn is down right annoying. We should be given roses and chocolates as busy moms for the many days when we did not feel well enough to shower or get dressed properly but still manage to get up and get our kiddos ready for school each day.  We are awesome!  And you know what, so is our family.  We deserve a wonderful school year with our children and we deserve an organized well planned week in a tidy organized home ( or something close to that 🙂 ).  And that is what we are going to be working on this week at Mommacan.com.

Now on with the show.

Menu Plan

Monday – Paleo Crunchy Baked Chicken Legs, Green beans, mac and cheese for the boys.

Tuesday- DIY – We have a super busy day with music lessons and volunteer work.  A simple salad for me and the boys can pick something from our freezer stash or make a Nut butter and fruit spread sandwich.

Wednesday-  Tacos with all the fixings. Making up a big batch of taco meat for the freezer is great idea. The first step is mixing up a few batches of Taco Seasoning, this is a big money saver.

Thursday-  Roast Turkey Breast, Sweet Potatoes and Cucumber Salad

Friday – Dinner Out

Saturday- BBQ Chicken Breast, Coleslaw and Baked Beans – The chicken recipe is a simple Paleo BBQ Chicken recipe.

Sunday-   Easy Sunday Gravy, Pasta and Green Salad – We use gluten free pasta.

Cleaning List

Cleaning List for the Week – This new school year we are picking an area a week to really get in shape!  So this week looks for post on our Back to School Organize to Optimize and other goodies to get your motivated.

Monday – Deep Clean Kitchen – Choose wisely on major appliance or area to deep clean. This I suggest cleaning and organizing the pantry. It is so much easier to put together a quick pantry meal when the pantry is well-organized and stocked with a few staples.

Tuesday – Bathroom – Give the bathrooms and good scrubbing, especially, tubs, showers, sinks and mirrors.

Wednesday –  Dust and Mirrors and Windows –  Dust all the furniture and doodads, shine all mirrors and windows on the inside.

Thursday –  The backyard, clear any clutter on tables and chairs, trim back overgrown potted plants.

Friday – Declutter-one area for 5 to 10 minutes or catch up on anything that was missed during the week . Keep it simple, Friday is for family and fun!

Saturday – Linens and extra laundry. Don’t you love the idea of fresh smelling sheets and towels!

Sunday –  Free Day – Family Day – An opportunity for movement!
