Shine Momma Shine

Busiest Moms in the World Spring Clean Challenge Day 18 Shine! Momma! Shine!

We are hanging out in the kitchen!

There is not a thing in this world of homemaking that is more satisfying than shining windows and cabinets.  Well, maybe hearing your mother-in-law tell you that your Pasta Gravy is so much more tasty than hers. (But, let’s try to keep it real.)

Today grab your shining tools for the fronts of cabinet and drawers, the cleaning solution needs to match the material of your cabinets.

  1. First clean the most icky parts, the part of the drawer or cabinet that you touch when you open it to retrieve items.
  2. Next, give the entire drawer or cabinet a good cleaning,

My personal cleaning solution for my wood kitchen cabinets is a tablespoon of dish soap mixed with about a gallon of water. I wash with a soapy towel, then rinse with a clean dampened towel and then dry with a clean fresh towel.

If this sounds exhausting to you just remember the Karate Kid in the scene wiping on and wiping off the car his teacher assigned for him to clean.  He was training for martial arts, and that means (in my crazy momma opinion) that while we are cleaning the cabinets and drawers we are exercising. Go Moms!

  1. I hate cleaning the cabinets!! They’re painted cabinets and they are always getting covered with sticky fingers and doggy drool! I can never get them to really look clean and shiney.
