Wipe Out Wednesday

Wipe Out

“There are so many doors to open. I am impatient to begin.”
-Daniel Keyes

Doors, Doors, Doors, there are so many in the house I dare not count them all.  But there is one thing I can count on when it comes to doors in this home and that is fingerprints and random crayon scribbles.  The doors in this house tell little stories.
The front door has a number of interesting hand prints and random squashed bugs. ( yikes, is that shameful or what?)
The sliding glass door has hand prints, doggie prints, smears of unknown elements and bits of pizza remnants.
The bathroom doors have sticker residue, hair gel ickies.  The hair gel comes from my youngest son’s obsession with Elvis hair this month.
The garage door has some nifty handprints that could be grease or could be something else, I honestly have no idea.

The fact is the doors are nasty and I am wiping out as many as I can in 10 minutes today and if your doors are icky you can join me in this little quest or challenge for shiny doors. They may only shine for 5-minutes before they are attacked again by the boys in my family.  But that is life and I would not trade it for anything. I am grateful that my family can zip around the house making those prints and I will enjoy the battle again of making the doors shine in a month or so.

Simple Daily Challenge: Take a 5 minute shine break and go shine some doors. Use your favorite cleaner , rags and some good old fashioned elbow grease.
