A Glimpse of Momma’s House at Christmas
There is no place like home for the holidays. And when I finally finish decorating the sense of peace I have is overwhelming.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and need a moment of peace right this minute here is a song for you.
Serenity I have shared my husband’s music before. Lucky for you he is not a professional accordion player.
Yep, this is me. I am a really looney.
During the holidays I always try to keep my sense of humor.
I try to keep the decor as kid friendly as possible!
The tree is filled with memories of our family’s past and present.
I am a Memphis gal so Elvis is a big part of my past.
I played clarinet for The Lisa Maria jet when it was incorporated into the Graceland Museum.
In my humble momma opinion, you can never have to many candles or sparkly lights.
The more the merrier, and its really handy at night when company comes to turn down the lights and let them sparkle.
Why? Because it hides little finger prints and random crayon marks throughout the living areas.
There is nothing like the warming flicker of a fire during the holidays
I would like to thank all who have been participating in the Holiday Clean-up Challenge and for those of you who just happened to find the challenge today here are a few highlights of the Challenge. I basically shared my Christmas-get ready page from my holiday planner. Someday I will post the whole thing. You know, when they invent that nifty time machine. I can’t wait because then all moms will get three hours of extra sleep a day and 4 hours of free time a day just to piddle around make brownies and chat on Twitter..
Momma’s Dirty Dozen – to keep me sane through the holidays.
Nosy Neighbors and Snoopy Relatives
All of the Holiday Challenges could be accomplished with a couple of very busy days.
But for those who love crunch time, come visit on one December 19th and 20th for the Holiday Scramble!
Two Days of the quickest tidy and clean-up so that you will be perfectly ready for Christmas!
Mommas Rock and don’t you forget it!
Add this disclosure statement somewhere in the post: “I am sharing my holiday home decor and cleaning tips for the chance to win prizes from The SITS Girls and Great Cleaners.”
It looks so pretty. Happy Holidays!! Now I have Elvis _’pretty paper” in my head.
Thank you
The Elvis photo is hilarious!
Hi Momma, yes, it’s always a good idea to keep your sense of humour over the holidays. My boys are all grown up now but I have one home visiting for a week or so and my normally tidy place is a little messy, but that’s okay ‘cos I would rather have him than a perfect living room, LOL Merry Christmas. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
