Perfectly cooked, easy to peel hard boiled eggs are a snap using an egg steamer insert and pressure cooker. We love the Instant Pot for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • Eggs
  • Water

Instructions

1.Pour one cup water into the pot, and place the eggs in stackable steamer rack.

2.Close the lid, set for 5 minutes at high pressure.

3.The cooker takes approximately 5 minutes to build to pressure and then 5 minutes to cook.

4.Let pressure cooker release naturally, this will take around 5 to 6 minutes.

5.Immerse hot eggs in cool water to halt the cooking process.

6.Peel eggs now, or later. I have found that peeling right away is the simplest.

  • Hard Boiled Eggs peeled are best eaten that day for best quality.
  • Peeled eggs should be eaten that day for best quality.
  • Keep cooked hard boiled eggs in shell and store in refrigerator up to one week. ( remember when in doubt, toss it out!)
