Simple Valentine’s Day Family Breakfast

Simple Valentine's Day Family Breakfast

Simple Valentine’s Day Family Breakfast

Hi, friends, today I am sharing a simple Valentine’s Day Family Breakfast. Simple touches make Valentine’s breakfast surprise the best. Your family will be thrilled to sit down to a cup of fruit and a bagel or some powdered donuts along with hot coffee or iced cold milk. You really don’t need to create something fancy, simple is best.

Pictured I have chosen white serving dishes, my super awesome hot/warm carafe, clear mugs and glasses, and just a touch of pink to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day. The pink comes from my favorite mom haunt, Target. The table runner was a bargain at three dollars and the napkins have strips and polka dots!  Yes, it is a tiny splurge to have themed napkins but leftovers can be stored for next year or just added to the napkin caddy to be used through the week.

Our Simple Valentine’s Day Family Breakfast consists of fresh cut fruit, bagels with a decadent raspberry jam schmear, white powdered mini-doughnuts, hot coffee, and ice-cold milk. The most difficult item on the menu was blending the raspberry schmear for the bagels.

Simple Valentine's Day Family BreakfastThe simple Raspberry Jam Schmear is so easy to make and the variations are limitless! I usually find a gourmet jam or fruit preserve to use and many times there are exotic fruit choices like mango and berry, or jalapeno strawberry. In the spirit of Valintine’s day, I have chosen raspberries because they are the prettiest reddish pink color and my husband loves them.

Valentine’s Day Breakfast and Busy Moms

I love Valentine’s Day. Creating a simple breakfast for our family and adding simple touches of pinks, as well as creating a semi-homemade raspberry spread and providing simple food favorites make this Simple Valentine’s Day Family Breakfast a treat for all.
