Simple White Winter Theme Hot Cocoa Bar

Hi, friends. Last Sunday, I was sipping a cup of crazy good hot chocolate and browsing Pinterest, busy moms, we love our Pinterest time. There is nothing like living out DIY design dreams and Michelin chef food fantasies via the search engine we call Pinterest. As I took a sip of the rich and creamy chocolate I thought what the heck. My fingers pecked out the words Hot Cocoa Bar. I thought of making one at Christmas but time ran away with me!

Pinterest Hot Cocoa Bar Dreams

As Pinterest opened up the Hot Cocoa bar page I was immediately hooked. There were a million different ways to make a hot cocoa bar.  I started daydreaming about five-tiered trays stacked with homemade cookies and marshmallows shaped like snowmen and angels. Then, of course, I would need an original painting, by a local hip artist, depicting an adorable Norman Rockwell family, sipping hot chocolate, smiling whilst playing board games in front of an impressive real log fire.

Peppermint and the Redwood Forrest

My dream hot chocolate bar would be a whitewashed hutch complete with white handmade pottery, rustic (giant) pinecones from the Redwood Forrest, silver teaspoons from local vintage markets, and homemade peppermint sticks for stirring up the delicious cocoa concoctions.

My dream hot cocoa bar was just that a dream. But yet, I still wanted to create one!  And I did. I used my basic busy mom rules.

  1. Keep it simple
  2. Use what we have
  3. Create with love

P.S. Plus the added fact that chocolate is involved makes a Hot Cocoa Bar project awesome automatically.

I chose a Simple White Winter Theme Hot Cocoa Bar so that it could be used for Christmas, Winter, and yes with an added hint of pink, Valentine’s Day. I really love the way the White Winter Cocoa Bar turned out!

  3. Prepare your cocoa and pour into Beverage Cafe, it will keep up to two hours, depending on your carafe. (Read you carafes directions!) Another option is to use a slow cooker to keep your cocoa warm until serving.
