Mixed Berry Hot Honey Cottage Cheese Bowl

Recipe by Pam List

A quick and easy high-protein cottage cheese bowl made with warm mixed berries, crunchy cereal, and a drizzle of hot honey.

This bowl is so filling that I often save half for an afternoon snack. It feels like a treat but is packed with protein and fruit instead of ice cream.

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 3/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries, thawed
  • 1/4 cup crushed whole grain vanilla cereal (Trader Joes)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons hot honey or honey
  • Mint leaves, optional

Instructions

  1. Add cottage cheese to a bowl.
  2. Add berries beside the cottage cheese.
  3. Drizzle with honey.
  4. Sprinkle cereal over the center.
  5. Garnish with mint and serve.

Notes

Frozen fruit works beautifully in this recipe and helps reduce food waste. If you’re not a cottage cheese fan, try stirring a little honey into the cottage cheese before serving for a cheesecake-like flavor
