Hey Momma! What’s For Dinner Whole 30 PMDD Miracle

Whole 30 PMDD and Menu Plan for the Week

I made a huge mistake. There, I said it. More than 10 years ago I lived with very bad PMS, or PMDD if you want to call it by name.  I experienced intense mood swings, prickly painful skin, inflammation, and so many other symptoms that all added up to pure misery. Not only did this affect me but it hurt my family as well. I was like Jekyll and Hyde, crying or angry one minute and ready to conquer the world the next. For three days out of each month, I was a real mess.

Whole 30 PMDD Miracle

Then a little miracle happened. I discovered the Whole 30. I followed the lifestyle for 30 days pretty faithfully and felt pretty good. However, the biggest gift of the process was that I had literally ZERO symptoms of PMDD. In fact, I had very little of what one would call a normal PMS experience.

As time passed, I forgot the PMDD miracle and would have little cheats here and there. The biggest culprit I discovered was wheat! Wheat caused inflammation and pain. The days I ate wheat free I felt pretty good. But the days when I had little slips that turned into big cheats I felt tired, moody, and had pain in my hands and weirdly my skin prickled. I would tell myself I was trying to eat “like a normal” person and was tired of not participating in family dinners because they served food that was not safe for me.   I was making poor choices and the more I made the more I told myself everything was just fine, but it was not.

PMDD Dragon

A month ago I realized I was back in the jungle of pain and horrible mood swings. This momma had forgotten the miracle of Paleo living and was once again making myself and my family miserable. I was once again haunted by the PMDD dragon. I need again, the Whole 30 PMDD Miracle.

So this month I am going to be strong and eat for my health as well as eating for joy.

In this house when momma eats healthy, the home is more peaceful and yes HAPPY!

And on that note!  Here is the menu plan for the week.

Whole 30 PMDD - Seriously helped me. I am booting of a new Whole 30 this week!MENU PLAN

Monday: Oven roasted grass-fed steak, roasted Brussel Sprouts, steamed organic Yukon Gold potatoes
Tuesday – Ground Turkey Tacos for the boys and this Whole 30 momma will have hers with lettuce wraps. We love Simply Organic Spicy Taco, Seasoning Mix on busy nights. It is a delicious and fast way to make taco filling. The filling will be a WHOLE 30 friendly Mexican pear lettuce slaw ( recipe coming soon).  If I am really hungry I will add a half-baked sweet potato.
Wednesday: Leftover steak, grilled onions, and mushrooms with brown rice for the boys. Berries for dessert.  When doing a Whole 30, simple is always best in meal planning.
Thursday: Paleo Tuna Croquettes, spicy turnip greens sweetened with a bit pineapple juice, garlic Paleo mashed turnips, and potatoes.  Here is a recipe for turnip greens, omit the brown sugar and it will be Paleo friendly.
Thursday: Slow Cooker Pork Roast, Green Beans for a Crowd, and rice for the boys.
Friday: Dinner Out
Saturday: Leftover Slow Cooker Pork with Paleo BBQ sauce and roasted sweet potatoes fries.
