Origami and Star Wars- A Perfect Set of Gifts for Grade School Boys and Girls

I am not sure where Tom Angleberger came up with the idea of these delightful grade school characters using Star Wars origami figures to jazz up their confidence and charisma in grade school, but it was simply pure genius.

There is not a boy or girl ages 7- 10 in our Elementary School that does not know how to fold a Darth Paper, Fortune Wookiee, Han Foldo or Origami Yoda.  It has become the favorite book series at Fundraisers and Scholastic Book Fairs at our elementary school. It has also caused all the 3rd grade boys to hoard several sheets of folding paper to build these unique characters during short breaks or recess and has sparked mountains of creativity and fun even for  even the quietest guys and gals in the class room.

And with the addition of yet another Star Wars movie being created as we speak this series has become so popular that you cannot find it in the local book store.  I browsed Amazon and have ordered three sets for Christmas gifts along with folding paper and a couple of Star Wars Origami books with spaceships that are super cool according to my son.\

I left it on an end table where my husband picked it up and finished it within an hour or two. Definitely a perfect gift for boys (and girls…and Star Wars lovers!) on your list! Now, just hoping Angleberger comes out with another…
