40 Day Clutter Challenge – Reader’s Choice and Your Personal Clutter Journey

lesscluttermorepeacemommacan.com_1

Welcome to day 25 of the 40 Day Clutter Challenge.  We are enjoying a peaceful Saturday utilizing out time in an organized manner.  Time is precious, so today, finish up your organizing and tidy session as quickly as possible and make time for family.  Family is the most important part of life.  They come in all kind of circumstances but they are our connections.  You have to make a real effort to connect sometimes but it is truly worth.

Have less clutter and more order allows us to tidy and organize a room in the least amount of time as possible.

But remember, we all have different starting points on our de-cluttering journey.  Some may just have a few items to donate or get rid of other may have hundreds and yes even thousands.  Clutter can really take over if we do not take the bull by the horns and address it accordingly.  It can be uncomfortable at first but when you experience that first morning of peace in a clutter free room with your family your heart will rejoice.

Marie Kondo - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

I like the Marie Kondo method. Below is a nifty quote from the author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing.  I have the Audible book as well as the hardback. And oddly enough my husband bought the book for our tween as a stocking stuffer this Christmas! And yes, I read every single organizing book that has at least 250 positive rating on Amazon. I am a big book nerd.

It’s human nature to take the easy route and leap at storage methods that promise quick and convenient ways to remove visible clutter. Putting things away creates the illusion that the clutter problem has been solved. But sooner or later, all the storage units are full, and the room once again overflows with things.

Audible books are a great way for busy moms and dads to catch up on reading. I am currently listening to Crush It!: Why NOW Is the Time to Cash In on Your Passion by Gary Vaynerchuk and loving his enthusiastic voice on working and building a life and business around your passion.  He is really fun to listen to and I am going to listen to his other two business books as well.

QUESTION: Are you a paper book reader, audio book listener or a digital reader ( Kindle, Nook, Smartphone etc.)
