31 Days to a Holiday Shine – Starts on Monday, October 15, 2012

Our second annual Holiday Clean-up Challenge begins on Monday October 15, 2012.

We will be finished this year before Thanksgiving and will still have our Seven Days of Christmas Crazy in December.

I am busier this year than I have ever been and I know you are as well.  But I still want that holiday sparkle in my home and in my family time and that takes planning.

For the next 31 days our Simple Daily Challenges will be focussed on tidying, cleaning, and maintaining our homes to be ready for the busiest holidays of the year.  We will also have a Girlie Week after the challenge and Thanksgiving to give ourselves a little holiday shine as a gift.  There will also be planning lists and calendar pages to keep your holiday organized and on track.

I planned this event earlier so that moms from all cultures can benefit from the clean-up session.  If I make a reference to Christmas, it is simply because that is a very special holiday for my family.

If you have a special holiday or tradition during November and December I would love to hear about it through an email or Sparkly Joyful Note in the comments section.

I am very excited about the year’s holiday events.  But the one thing that would burst my holiday happy bubble is to have a messy house, icky bathroom or no place to hang a guest’s coat when they come to visit.

Times are tough, for many of us. And, although we may not have the means to dazzle or deck the halls with splendor or the energy to bake 50 dozen cookies like grandma did we still can tidy our homes, make them shine with clean and sparkle with love, gather our friends and family and have great conversation, play a game of cards and have a mug of cocoa or hot tea.

So please join Momma in booting up our mommy engines and tidying, cleaning, decluttering ,organizing and planning just enough to keep the nosy neighbors and sneaky relatives happy and just enough to have our very best friends over for some holiday cheer.

I will see you all bright and early Monday, October 15th!  Bring a pencil, paper and a big fat eraser.  We are going to do some planning!
