I love spending time in the kitchen with my boys and the oldest has become quite the cook. I am proud to say that after all my years of parenting my college son really knows his way around the kitchen and enjoy the Penzey Spice Store and Williams Sonoma just as much as any other self- trained chef. And it all started with his momma’s apron and a spoon 21 years ago and now I get to teach my new little guy how to enjoy cooking as much as eating. What a great adventure!
My daughter and I had kid’s cookbook and we used to bake. She did better than me..and she continues to bake. Baking is not my forte’.
My mom would never let me and my sister enter her kitchen so when we got on our own we had to call. I didn’t even know how to boil eggs. I vowed my child would be able to do better and I think I succeeded. It is awesome when she cooks for our Mother/Daughter days sometimes. Makes you proud.

Totally agree with this post Pam. Its teaches life skills and is an interactive activity for munchkins. My boys are also all grown and each of them are good cooks.
