Create and Celebrate Blog Party #3

Calling all bloggers to come join the party! The April Create and Celebrate just popped the cork and lit the candles!

Create and Celebrate Blog Party #3

Hey there! Thank you for joining us for our 3rd Create and Celebrate Blog Party! This party is all about you, our party guests. Susanne and I love reading all the posts and it is so hard for us to pick features, we would feature all of you if we could!

We hope you all are enjoying each other’s creative work and visiting your fellow bloggers here at the party to support and encourage each other. After all, isn’t that what bloggers do? To all of our readers (ours and all of the bloggers), we hope you are being inspired by the creativity being shared each month!

If you are new here,  Susanne and I were chatting one night thinking about how long and crazy our Blogger to do list seemed to be each week. Every single post that required photos, research, writing, designing graphics and engaging readers through social media was a true act of love and LOTS of hard work. We decided that bloggers need a pat on the back and some cheering from their peers in Blogland and decided to start Create and Celebrate to celebrate all the hard work that you do on each and every project and post.

We also started a Facebook Group and Facebook Page to share posts and give more visibility to our participants! We want to create an environment that is helpful and positive so that all our blogging friends can reach their creative and successful goals! We would love you to join us there!

On To Our Features of the Month

Congrats to Leanna from Of Faeries & Fauna Craft Co.,

Leanna from http://faeriesandfauna.com

We asked Leanna 3 questions to help us get to know her a little better…

What inspired you to start your blog?

I worked for a long time in Alberta’s oil and gas industry, it was both high stress and high pressure. When the crash came I decided it was time to do something on my own. My very long term goal is to have a small acreage with a small store on it full of pretty things. My blog is the first part.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love hiking and being among large trees more than anything else in the world. I go to the forest every chance I get!

Tell us a fun fact about you.

I had done nothing but work and raise the boys until I was 40. Desperate to have some stories for my old age I purposely went out seeking adventures. Had a private tour of an airforce base, got to touch all the different planes. Two pilots tried to get me in the cockpit but they weren’t given permission. Sigh! I dated a World Cup Rugby player who gave me his jersey and his rule book. He eventually coached my son’s team. I helped organized offseason football camps and ended up knowing and working with a few pro football players, including my best friends son. I learned so much about life and myself by risking and asking.

I feel that same sense of adventure blogging, it amazes me that I have friends/colleagues who live around the globe. Love every minute of it.

We hope you enjoy Leanna’s favorite posts

Let’s Party!

Create and Celebrate The Nuts, and Bolts

Each month we will gather and post our best link(s) of the month. These links will need to lead to your original post. Please no link parties, but we will for sure share your link parties on our very own FACEBOOK page. We want to create a place where we don’t just drive by and dump our links, but hang out and meet new bloggers, join our Facebook Page, hang out at a meet and greet on our Facebook Group!

These are the categories for May:

Home and Garden, Arts and Crafts, Foodies, Organizing, Health and Beauty, Fashion, and Seasonal (Mother’s Day, Late Spring and Summer). We will choose a feature author/blogger/creative on the 20th of each month, along with other categories. We want to celebrate lots of talent.

The category featured bloggers will have their post of the month featured along with two more posts of their choice, complete with the best photo possible, all linked back to your blog with a bonus fun button to place on your website or to print and put in your blogging scrapbook. ( I am sure you have one right?)

  1. The featured author will receive the following via Email or Facebook Message asking for:
  • Three to five favorite posts,
  • A favorite photo or two in addition to photos of your blog posts
  • Two to three questions about blogging
  • Two fun questions about you to allow your current readers and new readers to get to know you better!
