Messy Book Shelf Challenge Results
Yesterday we had the messy bookshelf challenge and here are my results.
The first five minutes I was distracted by book memories. Reading these many books with my son and remincsing about the laughter and giggles of Captain Underpants and explaining difficult times of the Civil War, the Underground Railroad and Harriet Tubman. Each book has such special memories but we just cannot keep them all.
So I had a cup of tea and when I was finished went back for another round of five minutes and finished my bookshelf tidy project. Sigh. It was a series of tough mommy moments, but now we have room for a more mature reading list of great classics and new trends and I look forward to sharing the new stories with my now not so young son.
Question: Which is your favorite story-time book that your read or shared with your children?
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.
