I love my morning smoothie. I have fresh fruity, hight nutrient smoothie at least 5 days a week or more. I use Dr. Fuhrman’s guidelines for health for most of my smoothies but lately have added Yakult to grab a few of those Probiotic benefits along with its most excellent taste. Yakult is my go to Yummy snack and when paired with an orange it tastes remarkably like a Orange Creamsicle.
Here is my latest morning martini mix, spinach, pineapple and lemon. So darn good you will want seconds.
Mommy’s Morning Martinis
Spinach and Pineapple with a Lemon Twist
1 cup pineapple
1 banana (organic if you can get it)
2 cups fresh baby organic spinach
2 table spoons organic ground flax seed
2 servings of Yakult or a 1/2 cup soy or coconut milk
1- the juice of one lemon and go ahead and add the zest if you are feeling frisky.
Directions: Blend until smooth in a high-speed blender. I use a Vitamix and it honestly has been the best purchase I have made for my kitchen in the past two years. I never thought I would use it so much, but I truly use it once or more a day.
