School is Still in Session
We are nearing the end of the school year. And if you are like me the routine has just gotten old. You sit around dreaming of sleeping in and have coffee in one hand without your other hand packing the same old lunch. ( My child could eat peanut butter every single day if I allowed him) I tend to be pretty organized. But this year I am so burned out on Homework folders, Bubble Gum Math, Reading Folders, Buddy Books, Library books, school events, projects and after school driving bonanzas. I have let at least one or two things slip by and a couple of kind of important ones. ( please do not bring up the ‘birthday cupcake subject with my son’).
So to keep my sanity, I am revamping my Little Guy’s desk and tossing out the old stuff, adding a couple of fresh boxes of crayons and new pencils. I am finally going to label his file system like I promised four weeks ago. And to make sure this happens, I am pledging a photo shoot to happen right after I tackle his desk and will post it immediately. I feel like if I act jazzed up, then he will be jazzed up as well to finish the school year like an Einstein Olympian. ( may as well wish big )
Surely I won’t break a promise to myself when it involves my child’s education!
If you are starting to slack like me, then please join me in this challenge.
And if my husband is reading this…. No, I am not making up an excuse to go to the office supply store.
