Today I am sharing Small Walk-In Closet Seating Ideas. We are giving our small walk-in closet an update and I am sharing all the fabulous shoe benches and stools I have discovered while hunting for our perfect fit.

On the top of the list for our mini-closet makeover is a shoe shelving for easily seeing my favorites. I loved the idea of neatly organizing my shoes inside the closet. I thought having a small stool or bench would be perfect to add to the closet for easy shoe removal and storing. My biggest hurdle was the size of the closet. It is really like a half-size walk-in closet. My husbands closet is too long cabinets and six big sets of drawers on the opposite side of the hall heading toward the Master Bath.  This means we really only share the closet for our dirty clothes hampers. The Little Vanity Stool I Fell In Love With

I actually found something I loved at Homegoods, but it was over 100 bucks and a bit pricey to hide inside my closet. It was gorgeous, with green and blue plaid round pillow top and gold metal legs. Oh, I eyeballed that stool at least three different days. I kept thinking, its too much.  Then late one evening I decided, I was tired of looking online and in the same stores over and over again I rushed back to Homegoods with a spring in my step and a twinkle in my eye. I am not going to say I was devastated, but I was pretty deflated.  This gal was ready to change everything about my bedroom to make that adorable stool the center of attention, even if it was going to be hidden in the closet! *sigh*.  We searched online far and wide for one similar and could find nothing. So I took a closet design break. I did finally find a wonderful bench, I can’t wait to show you in our Mini Makeover Small Walk-in Update!   Seriously, I love the color. I have been collecting pieces of blue and white pottery lately and the Indigo color grabbed my eye. This is a lovely color of blue and would make anyone who loved a little bit of bohemian design in the rooms happy as a clam.

  Dimensions:  17″ H x 14″ W x 14″D and the legs are iron.  This truly would make a lovely piece for walk-in closet seating.

  Our last feature is for the minimalist who loves a clutter-free look. I actually love home with one or two pieces of acrylic furniture. A little goes a long way. It can really open up a small space. And honestly, our closet is a small walk in space!

  This works in showers but would also work in a closet setting or beside a shoe rack in the bedroom.

   

That is the end of the list! Whew! I am so excited to get started on our closet. It is not a super fancy update. I am trying to hammer as little as possible! I just had completed a thorough decluttering and ended up with tons of extra space. As my husband said, ” So you are decorating the inside of the closet?” Yes! I am creating a space of happiness!  A wonderful place that will lift my spirits filled with clothes, shoes, and bags that I truly love.
