The struggle is real. What am I about to gab about? Cooking in the warmer months! UGH! The heat of summer can really suck the energy out of you by the end of the day! Taking care of kids, the house, working and what not already drains a busy mom. When you add the heat of summer and all of its additional mayhem, dinner is the LAST thing we think of and yet we still must eat!

This summer we really need to collect a few quick and easy dinner ideas! This week we are kicking off with a few I feel are all-summer long worthy.

Momma Can – Get Supper on the Table while Living your BEST LIFE!

Weekday Suppers

MONDAY- Pasta & Meatballs- Simpatico! – Ugh, I know it is not from scratch! But honestly, it’s hot, and kids love meatballs. These days you can find all kinds of meatballs in the freezer and refrigerator section of the grocery store! Meatless, Turkey, Chicken, Grain Free, there is something for everyone!
You can just add a bit of butter or olive oil to the pasta for the picky eaters and serve any kind of sauce you love on the side! Add a green salad or sliced fresh veggies and dinner is a winner!

TUESDAY – Tacos- 4 – Ever – Yes, it is so cliche, but this is another easy decision meal for all ages, tastebuds and allows our meat eaters and vegan souls have dinner together as one! Tip! Bulk good your proteins aka meats and beans. Dinner is only a thaw away!

WEDNESDAY – Whacky Wednesday! DIY Pizza and Salad – We love moving our traditional pizza night to Wednesdays during the summer! Weekends with older kids can be tough, because, let’s face they are growing up and spreading their wings. But family dinner must still thrive!
It may be fun to invest time in learning how to make a pizza dough! Or buy dough at the local market or just buy the pizza skins! Do What is BEST for your family!

Thursday – Travel The World At Home – We did this one summer before COVID, so I guess it was three years ago! We enjoyed mom and kiddo lunch date exploring food from a different country at a local restaurant each week and then choosing something to make for dinner that night from the same country! It was so much fun visiting local eateries along with researching different countries for family dinner topics!

Shake up weekend dinners during the hot summer months with easy picnics, sandwiches and then take time to explore other country’s cuisines during the week or one the weekends!

Weekend Suppers

( I love a good puzzle night, brings back happy childhood memories. Try this yummy Crispy Tilapia recipe from Taste of Home.
