Festive Fall Home Tour
Festive Fall Home Tour
Fall is my favorite time of year. The crisp air, apple picking, pumpkin hunting, hot chocolates, and long Sunday drives to see the beautiful Santa Monica mountains. This is also the time of year I am homesick for Tennessee, the speckled white cotton fields, the glorious oranges and reds of trees draped in their Autumn splendor, thick sweaters and my favorite pair of cowboy boots. I rarely wear a warm coat in Southern California and my boots only make an appearance when we head to Lake Tahoe when it snows. But my memories of Tennessee and the landscapes filled with hay bales, colorful chrysanthemums in oranges and yellows with pumpkins galore will always mean fall to me.I can’t help but try to bring my Southern memories to my California home.
This is our home, we have a smashing red front door and I just love it.
This is our front living area all dressed up with pumpkins and pillows that I am proud to say both my husband and I chose together. 🙂
Our dining room is filled with pieces that we purchased when we first got married and moved into our house. I really enjoyed putting together this festive tray of dishes, flatware, and candles.
Our kitchen is where all the action occurs and I can’t believe how long it had to stay clean and straight to take these photos. Three cheers for the List men keeping it neat as a pin for their momma. The three-tier coffee service tray and the basket of artichokes are my favorites from the fall tour decorating.
This is the morning room and the first place my youngest son dumps everything when he walks in the door. This photo would normally have running shoes, a backpack, books, a couple of water glasses and a plate with a half-eaten sandwich.
Our master bedroom was really blessed by this whole festive fall home tour. I added the bench so that I would have some place to set a larger pumpkin and we decided to keep it there permanently.
I am so thankful for being part of this Festive Fall Home Tour and most especially thankful for all who have stopped by to enjoy the photos of our home.
Congratulations on the family effort to keep the house clean for the fall blog hop. Pictures have a way of showing any little thing.
Your home looks warm, inviting and I enjoyed your use of naturals in your decor. The bench at the end of your bed is particularly beautiful.
