Mom – Olympic Challenge for the Day – Planning Day

Winter Road

We are celebrating our own little Mom- Olympics in honor of this year’s Olympic Winter Games. I personally love the ice skating. I have learned to hold my breath through nearly an entire routine in fear of the poor participant falling on their bum.

If you did not see the initial Game Challenge you can find it here.

Momma Olympics – Homemaking Game for Busy Moms

We are tallying up points each day for household chores and general home paper pushing, like meal planning and paying the bills. Our points are our daily little mommy medals.  I am aiming for at least 250 points each morning. This will be a snap because each Olympic Challenge listed below is worth 100 points!

Today we are planning for the week ahead and tidying the messiest rooms in the house.

1. Plan your meals for the week.  Take 15 to 30 minutes and make a general plan about what you and your family can have for breakfast, lunches, dinners and snacks this week.  Planning your meals and utilizing leftovers will save you money.  Everyone loves to save money!  100 points.

2. Take 2 minute and tidy your desk, then check your calendar and add any dates that are missing. Busy moms sometimes forget appointments because they are so overwhelmed with just the day-to-day running of the household. 100 points.mommaolympics

3. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy – Take 5 minutes and tidy the messiest room in the house. You know the one where you close your eyes as you walk by and run to shut the door when you hear the doorbell in fear of someone seeing the “DISASTER ZONE”!  1oo points

This is our last day of the Olympics Challenge Game until the summer games come up.  But never fear!  We will have a new challenges and our annual Spring Dream and Clean coming up in a week!

Have a rocking day!

  1. Good morning! I’m planning right along with you today. I need to prep salads and plan one more soup for the week. And you better believe when I juice my citrus haul from Erik I will be putting at least some of it in some vodka. 🙂 Happy Monday.
