This Sazón Chicken Cottage Cheese Protein Bowl is a fast, filling lunch or dinner bowl made with cottage cheese, cooked chicken, a boiled egg, butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and a creamy sazón cottage cheese dressing.
It is colorful, packed with protein, and full of Latin-inspired flavor without turning lunch into a whole kitchen production. And friends, that cottage cheese mixed with sazón seasoning? It becomes the easiest little faux ranch-style dressing. Creamy, zippy, pretty, and just plain good.
Why You’ll Love This Sazón Chicken Cottage Cheese Bowl
This bowl is for the days when you need real food with real staying power. The chicken and boiled egg bring the protein, the butter lettuce and tomatoes keep it fresh, and the cottage cheese dressing gives everything a creamy, tangy, lightly spicy flavor. It tastes like a big salad and a protein bowl had a very happy lunch meeting.
The best part? You can use leftover chicken from a cookout, meal prep, or last night’s supper. That means lunch is halfway done before you even start.

- Serve and enjoy.

MOMMA’S can notes

Have you tried hot honey on salad? So good.
I used leftover grilled chicken thighs for this bowl, but cooked chicken breast works beautifully too. This is a great way to turn leftovers into a high-protein lunch that actually feels fresh and exciting.
The cottage cheese and sazón mixture is the surprise star here. It reminds me of a spicy ranch-style dressing, but it brings extra protein to the bowl instead of just sitting there looking pretty.
I like using a lower-sodium sazón seasoning when I can, then tasting before adding any extra salt. The seasoning, chicken, and egg already bring plenty of flavor, so go easy and adjust to your own taste.
Hot honey would be delicious on this bowl, but it is not required. It is already good just as it is. Try the Scotch Bonnet Hot Honey from Sprouts, you will be surprised how the heat and sweet really hit in the tastiest way!
Easy Swaps
- Use rotisserie chicken instead of grilled chicken.
- Use chicken breast, chicken thighs, or leftover taco chicken.
- Swap butter lettuce for romaine, spring mix, or chopped greens.
- Add avocado for extra creaminess.
- Add cucumber for crunch.
- Use Greek yogurt instead of cottage cheese for a different dressing base.
- Add crushed tortilla chips if you want crunch. Oh, wait, try my favorite Latin crunch for salads and bowls. Takis!
