Welcome to The Great Outdoors

For the next five days we are going to give a quick tidy to the outside of our homes. Several of the challenges will be fine for apartment style living gals and moms,
for the remainder spend this time clearing out closets or enjoying a nice book and a cup of tea.  That is what I would do if my yard did not look like a scene from Nightmare on Elm Street.

First impressions are very important when you have company.  The front door can either be a warm welcoming experience or a confusing element, you know when the dusty windows, spider webs hanging form the light fixtures and 2 months of grass and leaves are piled up against the door.  You friends or guests may think you either left the country unexpectedly, have fallen and you can’t get up or are celebrating Halloween a month early.

So let’s get started and take the next few days and make the outdoors company pretty to the best of our ability.  Ability meaning, time and energy, the two things many moms are super short on these days.

Simple Daily Challenge:  With a song in your heart and a spring in your step sweep the front porch and clear out the cob webs around the front light fixture.

That is all, and should just take 5 minutes at the very most.

Enjoy the day !

  1. You just reminded me! Our front door is soooooo boring! I need to look for ways to make the house look more inviting!
