Mom Olympic Challenges – Food, Fun and Family

We are celebrating our own little Mom- Olympics in honor of this year’s Olympic Winter Games. I personally love the ice skating. I have learned to hold my breath through nearly an entire routine in fear of the poor participant falling on their bum.

Momma Olympics – Homemaking Game for Busy Moms

 

We are tallying up points each day for household chores and general home paper pushing, like meal planning and paying the bills. Our points are our daily little mommy medals.  I am aiming for at least 250 points each morning. This will be a snap because each Olympic Challenge listed below is worth 100 points!

Today we are focussing on food, fun and family.

 

 

FOOD

Take 5 minutes clearing out all the old and moldy food in the fridge. Take another 5 wiping down icky shelves of funk and spills. I have no idea how fridge shelves get so yucky so quickly, but it happens. 100 points and now you will have room for some fresh meat and healthy vegetables.

 

FUN

Take 15 minutes today and do something that YOU as a mother, homemaker, wife, partner, worker, volunteer  and bottle washer extraordinaire love to do.  I don’t care if all you love to do is shop at Homegoods for bargains or a new screwdriver set at Sears. Do some thing today that you love!  100 pints.

FAMILY

Hangout today with your family and make it a point not to say one cross word. Sometimes this can be really difficult after a long tiring work week. But the family bong can be strong as an ox or weak as wet toast.  The way to make it strong is to spend quality peaceful loving time together. When we do this, the bond still sticks even on the day that are not so wonderful. 100 points plus and awesome time with your family!

We enjoy playing Beat The Parents Board Game or just plain old-fashioned Scrabble from time to time.  It gets our eyes away from electronics for a while and the  Beat the Parents Game is really filled with great trivia questions, total family time enjoyment.
