Busiest Moms in the World Clutter Challenge The Bedroom Bonanza

The bedroom is our place of refuge unless of course you have an extra room where you can go and rejuvenate but most of us have the bedroom.

Now, my husband is a music maker and when he gets the bitten by the music bug our  bedroom can go from restful to chaos in one day flat. This drives me crazy, but I do love listening to him sing and play. However, I don’t love looking at all the music mess.

Do you let your hobbies take over you place of rest? Could it be the clothes monster and random junk that keep you from your tidy peaceful place?

For the next few days we are tackling our bedrooms, the Bedroom Bonanza. By Friday we should have a lot of the mess under control and we might even look forward to walking into the room and not avoiding it until our eyes can’t stay open any longer.

And so we begin….Clutter challenge logo for moms and families, encouraging organizing and decluttering efforts.

100 pick-up and put away is our focus for the day. This one will fly for me because I have a lot of stuff that I have been putting off because I have been working on other rooms. This was kind of a bad idea, because my in-laws showed up unexpectedly this weekend and I was simply not prepared.  Why on earth my husband did not clue me in on the visit is beyond me and why on earth he decided to bring them into our bedroom is now the question of the century.

Wait, am I rambling again?

Let’s Get Started:

  1. Make your bed, even if it means just pulling up the covers a bit to neaten it up. I realize not everyone has their super momma powers made activated every day and just the idea of making a bed may be overwhelming much less having some crazy lady telling you to pick-up 100 items and put them away.
  2. Grab your trash bag and start picking up and putting away. Just do this for five minutes. Our crazy momma goal is 100 but a little pick up can go a long way into making your room tidier and less cluttered. And yes, you can count trash items as part of your pick- up.

Now enjoy your Halloween even if it is on a Monday!
