Simple Oven Roasted Corn on the Cob
My southern taste buds always do a little merry dance when sweet corn is in season. Thanks to Costco it seems like sweet corn season is nearly year round!
Who can pass up an enormous platter of buttery roasted corn on the cob? Not this gal! Roasted corn is so much better than boiling.
Roasting ears of corn on the grill are fabulous but sometimes the grill is not the best place to be, like windy rainy days!.
One benefit of grilling corn on the cob is keeping the husk on. I am always surprised how easy it is to remove the husk, butter it up and enjoy. But folks, weather can really hamper your grilling time. Learning to roast corn in the oven is a must-have recipe in any busy mom’s toolbox.

The pre-packaged corn comes at Costco comes husk-free. I just remove the corn silk, rinse and pat dry with clean paper towels.
It is so easy, and if by any chance you have leftovers, you can slice it off the ears and add it to salads, soups, chilis, and salsa!

Simple Oven Roasted Corn on the Cob for a Crowd!
Using the easy 1,2,3 button on the recipe below you can easily double and triple this recipe to serve a large crowd! I keep several ears of corn warm in an oven roaster like this one! This is such a handy auxiliary kitchen tool we keep in our garage. It is for much more than a turkey!
Fresh Sweet Corn
We purchased our fresh sweet corn from Costco. Each pack comes with 8 ears of corn. Eight ears fit perfectly on one sheet pan. Triple this recipe by using three racks in the oven! That is corn for a crowd. If you need an additional side dish to try out Green beans for a Crowd.
Let’s Get Cooking!
- 12 x 17 Sheet Pan – Large sheet pan. You can use what you have. This size holds 8 full-size ears of corn.
- Parchment Paper trimmed to fit pan. We love the precut! Reynolds Parchment Baking Sheets.
- Silicone Basting Brush
- Small Glass Prep Bowl to melt butter or Butter Pan
- Serving Platter – Or a large dinner plate.

Simple Oven Roasted Corn on the Cob
Delicious buttery corn on the cob roasted in the oven to perfection. This is a must have corn recipe in your collection.

8 ears corn – husk removed and cleaned or purchased already pepared
1 stick melted butter ( I use a glass bowl and the microwave melt setting)
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Preheat oven to 350˚F.
Place parchment liner on a large baking pan.
Line ears of corn on the lined baking pan.
Baste each cob with melted butter.
Roast corn for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown. Turn half-way through roasting time.
Remove from oven.
Salt and Pepper to taste.
Serve on pretty platter and enjoy!
For variation sprinkle buttered corn with garlic and onion powder and even colorful smoke paprika!
