Hi, friends! We are returning to our weekly meal plans after a long break. I know, I have been taking a relaxed approach to the meal planning and it has caused a ruckus on the food budget with way too many meals eating on the run. This not only adds to the cost of our weekly eating but it also tends to add a ton of calories!
Paying Our Dues After Eating Yummy Memphis Food
Our family has been traveling, our latest trip was back home, to Memphis TN. You know home of BBQ and Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken. I must admit, I at like a KING! With a Baby Sprinkle and my dad’s birthday, there was cake and all the trimmings for celebrations. Then our traditional visits to Central BBQ, Gus’s, Cracker Barrel, and one last visit to downtown Memphis at the Hard Rock Cafe. Oh wait, we also had a quick trip to Oxford, Mississippi and I had a crazy fabulous plate of Soul Food at the Ajax Diner. I promise you, the South is just overwhelmingly the best darn place to get your taste buds begging for mercy. There is just so much good cooking!
My taste buds have been a radical road trip but now it is time to get back on track. Eating clean healthy meals, that are budget friendly! I will also have to make good friends with the treadmill for a couple of weeks to make up for lost time!
