I enjoy coming home to a pot full of fresh, aromatic soup at the end of the day. I keep a bookmark folder full of favorite soup recipes for those really busy days and with Book Fair around the corner I am super, super busy. Here are 5 of my favorite Crock Pot/ Slow Cooker Soup recipes.
Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
A very simple recipe that can be altered quickly. I leave out the beer and generally add leftover roasted chicken or which ever cut of boneless free range chicken is the most economical at time of purchase. It smells rich and robust almost as soon as the pot warms and is super tasty with a couple of good dashes of Tabasco and a dollop of rich sour cream. Click here for soup recipe.
Leftover Turkey Soup
A super quick homemade soup that can be jazzed up by omitting the white potates and adding butternut squash cubed which can be found in the frozen section of many grocery stores these days. Click here for the yummy turkey soup recipe.
Crockpot Pizza Soup
The minute I saw the words soup and pizza together I knew I had to try this yummy pizza soup recipe. Put your favorite pizza topping in a crock pot and your house is going to smell amazing at the end of the day. The neighbors will think you have opened up a pizzeria and just might come and ask for a taste. Serve with some crusty bread and you are going to have one happy family dinner night. Kid Friendly Crockpot Corn Chowder
This is a family favorite. I love serving this with freshly chopped seeded jalapenos for my husband and I and lots of extra nitrate free turkey bacon for my boys. Click here for Corn Chowder Recipe
Chicken Noodle Soup- Crockpot
Who does not love a comforting cup of chicken noodle soup? I like this soup without any frills and this recipe matches my picky palate and for the record I add half the amount of parsley at the end as a garnish, not during the cooking process. Enjoy this wonderful recipe, we just love it. Click here for the Chicken Noodle soup recipe.
