Hugs Are Awesome and Kitchen Junk Drawer

Hi friends, today we are going to talk about the awesome hugs and clean out the kitchen junk drawer!

Yesterday as  I was shuffling items around in the cupboard looking for my daily 12 items and I heard my son’s laughter.

He has a laugh that you can’t help but return or at the very least smile when you hear it.  He recently turned 12 years old and I am nostalgic from time to time looking back on his early years and remembering those hugs he would give me as a toddler.

These are the best hugs from little ones when they don’t know enough words to explain how they feel. There hug is an expression!   Seriously, Hugs are awesome!

  • Hugging can show someone you forgive them when you have had a disagreement or falling out and can’t seem to string the words together that you would like to patch things up.
  • Hugging makes you feel better.  Receiving a hug or giving a hug just makes you feel a little better, especially on tough busy mom days.
  • Hugging your little ones.  There are no words for the healing and joy of hugging your babies or even your grown children, hugging your nieces and nephews or other little ones who are part of your life.  One smile from a toddling youth brings bubbles of happiness, and happiness is healing.
  • Hugs from your spouse, that person in your life that is the forever person, or someone you may be discerning as your forever person.  There is an assurance of love, safety and peace.  When you meet that person you will know and if you have met them already ” count your lucky stars”.

Today’s Challenge

Connect with your family and friends today. Hug your spouse (or that special someone in your life), hug your children, and hug your pets.  Get the kids out into the day without the harness of electronics and take a family walk.  Baked a meal from scratch with your older children or keep it simple and just make sandwiches and play board games.  Connect with your family.

40 Day Clutter Challenge

Clutter Challenge –  Remember 20 minutes or less and 12 items out the door.

Go through your kitchen junk drawer, any magazines you have in the kitchen and your cookbook collection.  Decide if you really love it, never used it or it is broken or beyond repair. Act accordingly and try your best to meet your goal.  ( This is a hard one for me, I do love my cookbook collection.)

QUESTION OF THE DAY

If you could change anything in your kitchen, what would it be?   The sky is a limit as our dreams have no limits.

P.S.  Sending virtual hugs to you all.
