This week we celebrate the 4th of July here in the United States. I hope those who observe and are traveling drive safely and have the oppourtunity for at least one family picnic! We had some celebrating here at home this weekend. My son married his sweetheart of 9 years! It was a blessed and beautiful ceremony and the dinner following was a joyful dance filled event with hints of so many cultures, especially Lebanese dancing, which I highly recommend everyone to have a chance to try one day.
I had to share the gorgeous wedding tables! The flowers on some table were shorter and some very tall. I wish I had taken more photos!
Wish I had photos of the ceremoy, but I was occupied crying in to my tissues and just had not time to spare. 😉
Menu Plan
Monday – Baked Potato Bar
Tuesday – Tacos, Beans and Rice – with Mexican Lettuce Slaw!
Wednesday – Alton Brown’s (but with Gluten Free Panko Crumps) Tuna croquettes, Corn and Peas Mix Up, Mashed Potatoes ( lots of starch so will ad a cucumber salad for me)
Thursday – Leftovers, Frozen Soup, Yumy Turkey Chili or Sandwiches – its Family Diner Night!
Friday – Turkey Burgers, Homemade Fries, Vegetable Tray
Saturday – Fourth of July – I am bringing my own salad with low glycemic veggies and an olive oil lemon juice dressing. Deviled Eggs!
Sunday – Grilled Chicken, Arugula and corn on the cob for the boys.
Cleaning List for the Week – This summer we are picking one room a week to really get in shape! So one day per week, you will visit the room and decide what needs to be done, schedule it in your calendar and DO IT!
Monday – Deep Clean Kitchen – Choose wisely on major appliance or area to deep clean. This I suggest cleaning and organizing the pantry. It is so much easier to put together a quick pantry meal when the pantry is well-organized and stocked with a few staples.
Tuesday – Bathroom – Give the bathrooms and good scrubbing, especially, tubs, showers, sinks and mirrors.
Wednesday – Dust and Mirrors and Windows – Dust all the furniture and doodads, shine all mirrors and windows on the inside.
Thursday – Child’s Room – Clear out the clutter, out-grown clothing and out-grown toys. I highly suggest keeping only a couple of items that are sentimental for the year. Dust the walls, spot clean, organize and LABEL for your children especially.
Friday – Declutter-one area for 5 to 10 minutes or catch up on anything that was missed during the week . Keep it simple, Friday is for family and fun!
Saturday – Linens and extra laundry. Don’t you love the idea of fresh smelling sheets and towels!
Sunday – Free Day – Family Day – An opportunity for movement!

Great cleaning list! We love to do picnics on the beach for the couple months of summer we have up here in Maine! That cooler is great, although most of the time we grab Subway on the way!
