The area under the kitchen sink can become a vast cave of forgotten, unused items, taking up precious space and creating an environment that is not visually appealing. I truly believe that less is best under the kitchen sink. There should not be a game of “tug of war” or “hide and seek” when you need a clean sponge or a bottle of dish soap. Today’s clutter crusade challenge is simple and very effect for creating a space under the sink that you will more readily visit once the clutter is gone!
1.Put a protective covering on the floor, like newspaper or a big garbage bag.
2. Dispose of any products that are near empty, really gross sponges and anything else that is questionable.
Remove items that have found themselves housed under the sink that do not belong there. A few folks keep flower vases under the sink, as it is handy and there is not another spot to place them in the kitchen. This is fine, but just keep one or two clear glass and solid white under the sink, anymore than that and you are going to be doing the clutter “tug of war” and most likely will avoid any area under the kitchen sink as a result.
3. Replace only what you will use in an orderly fashion and take note if sponges and dish rags need to be replaced.
