I was glancing at all of the Halloween and Fall treats thinking to myself, WOW, these recipes are so full of sugar. My brother has diabetes and I know it is not fun to look at all those golden caramel apples, pumpkin pie lattes and dreamy whipped sugary desserts in the shape of bats and witches hats and not want at least a taste. But the trouble is, even a piece of pineapple can raise blood sugars too much. So I went into the kitchen to try to create something rich , and creamy with the aromatics of Fall, to me that is pumpkin spice.
This recipe can go team sugar or go light on the sugar, it depends on you. I personally like a happy medium of a bit of real maple syrup and my favorite sugar substitute (Nu-Naturals).
This super simple Pumpkin Spiced Cream Cheese recipe for dipping apples and crisp celery sticks is so yummy! It would be excellent spread on a bagel in the morning or a piece of crisp sprouted sour dough bread.
Nunaturals Stevia Powder – my personal favorite sugar substitute.

Take the whipped cream cheese, the sugar blend of your choice and the pumpkin pie spice and stir until smooth. It is super easy with the pre-whipped cream cheese.
Serve with Granny Smith apple wedges and celery sticks if you are on team low sugar.
Serve with assorted colored apple wedges, celery and you can add a few bagel chips (plain) or graham cracker rectangles if you can handle the calories and sugar.
Garnish the dip with a sprinkle of pumpking spice for some added fancy.
I am on team apple and celery! I totally love this rich spicy infused cream cheese and hope you do as well!
