1. Weekly meal plan for busy moms with dinners like turkey, pizza, and lasagna.

We are back! I wanted to make the perfect comeback, but finally had to just go for it and I could not think of a better way to start meal planning again than Memorial Day!

Honestly, I also am just flabbergasted at the price of groceries these days!

Grocery Shopping These Days

Grocery shopping these days can feel tough with prices going up and budgets shrinking. It’s hard to stick to our shopping lists without spending too much. Finding good ingredients at fair prices makes a simple errand stressful. With changing prices, planning meals for the week is tricky as we balance nutrition, variety, and cost. But with some creativity and careful planning, we can still make tasty meals without breaking the bank.

Menu For May 26- June June 2, 2024

  • Monday – Grilled Turkey Burgers or Vegan Burgers with lots of vegetable fixings, Fruit Salad, and Carrot Sticks with a Spicy Ranch Style Dip – Mom tip, its okay to buy frozen burgers!
  • Tuesday – Burrito Bowls! Ground Turkey for the meat lovers, beans for those who are on team Vegetarian, and chopped onions, tomato, and shredded cheese! We always have Tapatio On Hand and will probably have some yummy guacamole!
  • WednesdayPork Chops for our meat lovers, mashed potatoes from scratch, and a good old green bean casserole. I add in a pot of vegan pinto beans so I have protein on hand for lunches for a few days! (Budget Tip – Go meatless and save some money!)
  • On Thursday, use any available leftover pork or ground meat. Use it in a pot of kid friendly Fideo instead of the chicken.
  • Friday – Frozen Cheese Pizza and a Veggie Board, watch a fun family movie. Make it a point to have dinner and a movie sparingly. Don’t make it a habit. We need connection through chatting and sharing at mealtime, but it is nice to shake it up once in a while.
  • Saturday – Teens Can DIY and Sandwich and you can take a dinner date with your significant other. Can I suggest a local Mom and Pop’s place, covid hit many families owned restaurants pretty hard. I like to support these men and women who work so hard to create their dream restaurant.
If you have little ones, I hope you can save a bit of money, get a sitter, and have a dinner out once in a while, but if not, never fear! Tips are coming soon for shaking up Saturday Dinners!
  • Sunday Family Meal – Skillet Lasagna, Crisp Green Salad, Baked Cheese Bread, and Watermelon Chunks.
